| Member Duties : Having a Summer Associate would enable CHWC to recruit even more volunteers to increase production at the farm and provide a connection between the financial literacy focus and the farm through additional workshops and trainings, such as gardening at home, cooking with fresh produce and preserving food and drying herbs, which will teach participants how to save money by lowering their food budget. Having a Summer Associate would complement the efforts of our contract partner, KC Healthy Kids, and provide a resource to conduct more useful evaluation by gathering data on volunteers’ experience and suggestions for additional workshops and trainings.
