ISD 623 – Partners for the Future VISTA – (MAVA)
 
 
 
Roseville Area Schools Community Education Department works to engage our ever-changing communities and partners in the developing meaningful services, quality programs and lifelong learning opportunities for all. In order to achieve our commitment to prepare all learners for lifelong learning, we must intentionally focus on learners experiencing the biggest disparities in opportunity and bring in additional supports. Roseville Area Community Education Department is seeking an equity minded, independent, energetic and organized individual for a full time VISTA member position to provide leadership to enhance and expand Our Partners for the Future Volunteer Program. You will work in a 1st ring suburban community, where 57% of our students are students of color. This position will provide leadership opportunities to enhance and expand a volunteer program in Roseville Area Schools (1 High School, 1 Alternative High School, 1 Middle school, 1 Prek-8 building, 6 Elementary building, 1 Elementary Year Around School and 1 Community Center). You will have the opportunity to develop skills in volunteer management, and program development in a school district that values “Equity in All We Do.” You will be working with a dynamic team that believes in collaboration, creativity and high achievement.

Member Duties : As a VISTA member with Roseville Area Community Education you will make recommendation to enhance our current volunteer program called, Partners for the Future. You will evaluate our current volunteer engagement process and volunteer opportunities to determine best practices that are needed in a high quality volunteer program, provide support and leadership in volunteer recruitment strategies and development of training opportunities, and develop a framework for engaging youth as volunteers in our programs.
