Rural Action Sustainable Energy Solutions VISTA
 
 
 
The Sustainable Energy Solutions VISTA will join Rural Action staff and AmeriCorps at the Kuhre Center for Rural Renewal, 9030 Hocking Hills Drive, The Plains, Ohio, serving alongside the Sustainable Energy Solutions Program Director. Rural Action VISTA members serve in rural communities, so access to reliable transportation is a must. Member Duties : This VISTA will be responsible for planning, advertising, and ensuring the success of training programs such as green energy workshops, wherein participants learn the ins and outs of green careers. This VISTA will also have a hand in developing sustainable energy infrastructure in the region and assessing opportunities for growth. This VISTA will help to move our region toward an economy that rises from the historical boom and bust of communities dependent on extractive industries, while protecting our beautiful, vital, and uniquely biodiverse region of Appalachian Ohio.
