Kids Smiles Community Engagement VISTA

The Community Engagement VISTA will help design, implement and advance evidenced based community engagement programming to increase access to pediatric dental services for low-income children in West and Southwest Philadelphia and enhance Kids Smiles’ capacity and mission through stakeholder (partner) communication for continued support and resources. The VISTA will utilize qualitative and quantitative data analysis to maximize the effectiveness of Kids Smiles programs while broadening Kids Smiles’ footprint in the community. In addition the VISTA will assist the development department with updating, designing, and distributing marketing and promotional materials that reflect current programs and services. The VISTA will develop a plan that advances Kids Smiles’ social media presence and brand to targeted audiences such as Kids Smiles families, donors, partners and the general public and assure that Kids Smiles’ patients, families and partners understand the organizations messaging.

Member Duties : 1. Develop assessment tools and criteria to evaluate Kids Smiles programs. 2. Analyze data to establish baseline program results. 3. Identify new potential funding sources to help fund these programs. 4. Assist the Development Department in grant writing. 5. Assist the Development Department in marketing/communications and event planning. 6. Recruit Volunteers. 7. Attend applicable community meetings. 8. Attend applicable development meetings.
