College Health Corps, MinnState Office of Equity & Inclusion

The Office of Equity and Inclusion at Minnesota State leads and support equity, inclusion, and compliance efforts for system campuses. The system serves 375,000 students and is the largest educator of students of color in Minnesota. Our campuses serve more than 60,000 students of color and underrepresented students across the state; making it the most diverse student body than any other higher education provider in MN. The work will be focused on the following three areas: • Build capacity among equity practitioners in higher education to equip them in applying an equity lens approach to their practice. This will include developing a strategy for professional development opportunities to student affairs and diversity professionals who serve low-income, first generation, and racially diverse students. This work will support campuses as they become student-ready spaces that serve an increasingly diverse student body. • Create a stronger infrastructure for community partnerships between state-wide organizations and the Office of Equity and Inclusion. Lay out a strategy for community engagement and partnership development focused on under-served communities in MN. • Enhance evaluation activities to help Campus Diversity Officers assess program impact. ---This project is part of the College Health Corps (CHC) VISTA Program, operated by Minnesota Campus Compact. The CHC increases low-income individuals’ access to health care, health education, food, and basic needs through capacity building projects, including partnerships between higher education and community based organizations. Professional development focuses on health equity, the social determinants of health, and effective partnership development. --- ***Please also send cover letter and resume to supervisor. Interviews will occur on a rolling basis. Preference given to candidates who apply early.***
