ShareCorps - TNWOFB -Programs & Partner Outreach Coordinator

Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank, Inc. (TNWOFB) is a non-profit organization established to enable other community organizations to end hunger. Since its establishment in 1984, the TNWOFB has distributed more than 100 million pounds of food and grocery products to assist those in need. Currently, the TNWOFB serves a network of approximately 250 member agencies in eight counties; Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Williams, and Wood.

Member Duties : The VISTA will coordinate and grow our Harvest Market and Hunger Center programs. A primary goal they will be responsible for is building capacity through volunteer outreach. This will include recruitment marketing, streamlining and formalizing the onboarding process for volunteers, and regular coordination and communication. The VISTA will also assist with our partner outreach and communication techniques as it pertains to communicating progress and news updates. The VISTA will also maintain a weekly blog by collecting testimonials and spotlighting new services. Finally, the VISTA will gain valuable experience in helping to expand the Harvest Market to our eastern counties and to establish the Hunger Center. In an effort to reach all of our food insecure clients in our service area, the VISTA will work with staff to coordinate new distribution sites and link new social service partners to the community.
