LCEDC Strategic Planning Outreach Coordinator VISTA
 
 
 
The Strategic Planning Outreach VISTA will be located at the Lincoln Economic Development Corporation in Limon, Colorado. The town of Limon is located one hour east of Denver in the Eastern Plains of Colorado. The mission of the Lincoln County Economic Development Corporation is to provide leadership in developing and maintaining a stable, diverse economy through job creation, growth of commerce, and promotion of new and existing businesses”, the goal of the strategic planning project is to provide more job opportunities for those in poverty by aligning the development goals of all the communities in Lincoln County, Colorado. The Lincoln County EDC office is comprised of the executive director, and part-time SBDC Consultant, and the VISTA. The work environment is considered a professional office managed in a casual style, with free exchange of conversation and dialogue. This position will be a great opportunity for someone who is interested in building skills in community outreach, public speaking, strategic planning, and plan execution.

Member Duties : The Strategic Planning Outreach Coordinator VISTA will be responsible for the initial implementation of the Lincoln County Strategic Plan through the execution of the countywide Action Plan. Member duties include: 1.) Meet with local partners and representatives from city and county government, as well as select community organizations 2.) Develop a system for collecting community input on the ongoing Action Plan and incorporating needed changes 3.) Based on revision suggestions create quarterly revisions to the Action Plan 4.) Develop a system to evaluate the effectiveness of the action plan.
