ShareCorps- Helping Hands- Communications Associate
 
 
 
Helping Hands Health and Wellness Center (HHHWC) is a clinic that provides free medical care and social services to uninsured and underinsured adults whose income is below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. The mission of the Helping Hands Health and Wellness Center is to be the caring hands of Jesus to provide medical care, health education, counseling and social services to those with needs. HHHWC’s primary programs are its TB Testing Program and its Walk-In Free Clinic. The TB Testing Program occurs every Tuesday. The Walk-In Free Clinic operates every Thursday to provide free physician care and free social services care.

Member Duties : Helping Hands Health and Wellness Center needs a Communications and Fundraising Associate to help accomplish its mission and to build capacity for future growth. VISTA member will be focused on projects involving communications, marketing, promotional, organizational, and fundraising efforts. Some responsibilities include: Reach and recruit more patients needing free medical care. Design and perform outreach efforts. Fine-tune marketing efforts to create a streamlined brand that will be recognizable to all audiences. Create organizational videos. Support the organization mission with the crafting of appropriate messaging on all promotional and organizational materials. Provide patients and volunteers with more information on available resources in the Northland and Columbus communities. Give Helping Hands Health and Wellness Center patients a voice in the free clinic community. Assist with the execution of the annual fundraising event.
