CCMA AmeriCorps VISTA for P20 CONNECTS

P20 CONNECTS is a Campus Compact Mid-Atlantic strategic initiative with the goal to support every pre-K through 12th grade student who is challenged to participate in activities that develop the attitudes, skills and knowledge to be college, career, and civically ready and thereby advance equitable opportunity regardless of personal situation. P20 CONNECTS engages students from pre-kindergarten (P) though graduate school (20) framing the work within a collective impact practice that assists communities in the development of networks that employ experiential learning practice which empower and prepare the participants for their appropriate level of career, college, and civic readiness.

Member Duties : The CCMA AmeriCorps VISTA will assist P20 CONNECTS (P20) develop capacity to increase low-income, first-generation, K-12 and college students’ readiness for college, career, and civic engagement by addressing specific experiential learning outcomes. This position will 1) Support network partners to maintain/develop P20 programs. 2) Provide leadership to establish/maintain consistency of process and programmatic expectations. 3) Maintain current and recommend/develop opportunities for engagement, professional development, resources/funding, programming, and publicity. 4) Support continued development/administration of an assessment process which fosters demonstration of participant learning and its use in program evaluation. Support the evaluation of P20 programs to assure empowerment and positive impact on community/learner networks that develop self-assessment, sustain initiatives, demonstrate application of learning and expand capabilities, opportunities, personal/civic goals.
