F&CS_TNP_GROW Urban AgricultureSummer VISTA
 
 
 
Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership (TNP) is a leader in revitalizing neighborhoods with a mission to empower residents through programming and projects that improve the quality of life in Warren, Ohio. TNP's programming is resident-driven with a vision to transform communities into meaningful places. Warren is located in Northeast Ohio in Trumbull County. We have a historical downtown courthouse square that is walkable; featuring an outdoor amphitheater, parks, river access, bike and walking trails, arts and entertainment. There will be opportunities for professional development and networking at partner events. Warren has local trivia nights, spoken word, social justice advocacy and fine arts galleries. The GROW Urban AgricultureSummer VISTAwill spend their time in the community as they work to understand the current state of community green space in the city of Warren and work to create a framework for future planning and collaboration opportunities. During their service term, the GROW Urban AgricultureSummer VISTAwill create an asset map outlining various resources and stakeholders that could take part or have interest in green land use projects. They will also further develop a database of opportunities that have been identified to expand green land use projects within the city.

Member Duties : The GROW Urban Agriculture Summer VISTA will attend community events and meetings to meet community leaders and learn more about their work and missions; communicate data from a number of locations; perform basic mapping using Google MyMaps; work within the gardens and at various community green spaces to better understand their goals and needs; conduct fundraising research.
