THN Homeless Services Landlord Outreach (Ft. Worth)
 
 
 
The Texas Homeless Network (THN) works to provide solutions to end homelessness in Texas communities through education, resources, and advocacy. Currently, THN has VISTA members placed throughout the state working on capacity building and program development to assist communities in ending homelessness. This VISTA project will enhance and develop new relationships with landlords in Tarrant County to increase the number of housing opportunities and house people long-term.

Member Duties : 1.) Research best practices in community-wide strategies to engage landlords, current leasing attitudes of property managers and landlords, and identify barriers and solutions to improving participation in HUD or other sponsored programs 2.) Develop relationships with apartment association and private landlords. 3.) Educate community members about issues surrounding homelessness and the organization’s services. 4.) Organize and co-lead landlord engagement committee. 5.)
