ShareCorps - Hope Partnership Project - Resource Coordinator

The Hope Partnership Project of Ross County is a gathering of people and organizations working together around substance use disorder solutions that include prevention, early intervention, treatment services, recovery, and criminal justice reform. We're only three-years-old, but we are headed in a direction that will make a real difference in the lives of many. We need you to help us put legs on a strategy map into the future. You'll do this through communication strategies, program research, and building a business model with metrics for successful outcomes. The collaborators on the project are community members and organizations who share a passion for slowing then stopping substance abuse. There are many partners but we need one more: a VISTA member.

Member Duties : Get ready to: build partnerships with schools and businesses; recruit, screen, train and coordinate volunteers; work outreach events that brings in resources and dollars for best use; generate social media methods and communications that engage our partners and the community at large; investigate the grant world involving preventing substance use disorder in youth before it ever gets started; understand and promote evidence-based programming; and leave the project in much stronger shape than you found it. The best thing is that you, yourself, will be mentored, taught, and supported into a public health practice world that will change you forever. And, all of this in the wonderful southern hills of Ohio where the living is friendly and caring. Get off the beaten path!
