Research & Program Specialist for Washington County BH Board
 
 
 
The Washington County Behavioral Health Board is responsible for the planning, funding and monitoring of mental health and addiction treatment and prevention services. The Board contracts with behavioral health agencies and engages in community projects designed to provide education, prevention, treatment and recovery services throughout the County. Our VISTA member will be able to participate in networking events and other professional development activities while helping our community during our exciting build-up phase of the board.

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps VISTA member will conduct research on best practices concerning recovery housing and provide recommended strategies that the Board can utilize. The VISTA member will also help manage data collection to determine the outcomes and progress of the Board’s diverse mental health and addiction related programs. The VISTA member will help write content for the website, social media, annual report and newsletter. The VISTA member will also help build community partnerships and attend outreach and other events to educate and inform stakeholders about the work of our Board.
