Working In Neighborhoods Fall 2019 VISTA

Since 1978, Working In Neighborhoods’ (WIN) mission has been “to empower people to make informed choices for themselves and their neighborhoods through community building, home ownership, and economic learning.” WIN works with community leaders, neighborhood businesses, partner organizations, and residents to make sure they have a say in shaping the future for their communities and are part of the decision-making process in redevelopment efforts. WIN’s project will help bring residents out of poverty by strengthening relationships between existing businesses and the community at large, connecting businesses into community and economic development efforts, and increase awareness and access to existing job opportunities in the community and resources to build small businesses of their own.
