The Well Capacity Workforce Development 2021 VISTA

The Well CDC believes that a strong affordable housing strategy is most effective coupled with a strong workforce development strategy. In effort to build true momentum toward home ownership without foreclosure and upward economic mobility to move out of (often generational) poverty, individuals and families must have access to both stable housing and prospects to increase their incomes. The VISTA role will consist of working with The Well CDC and 15+ other organizations/businesses in the Middlebury Workforce Coalition to development a long-term workforce strategy for Middlebury residents that seeks to remove barriers to accessing and retaining quality employment that leads to upward economic mobility. Additionally, in effort to ensure that The Well CDC and other neighborhood stakeholders are encouraging equitable housing and economic development that creates a shared prosperity and resiliency for our residents, the VISTA role will increase our capacity to effectively monitor and measure impact through qualitative and quantitative data sources.
