Greater Collinwood Workforce Development 2021 VISTA
 
 
 
Greater Collinwood Development Corporation’s mission supports creating economic equity across our service area. Our robust workforce development program provides individuals with educational resources and employment opportunities that will create economic mobility The VISTA member will assist in the continuity of Phase I and II of the project that aims to maintain and secure additional partnerships with local employers and support service providers and establish outreach strategies targeting persons in need of employment/ training ; the project also aims to provide resources and opportunities through the coordination of quarterly workforce development programming. The 2021-2022 implementation phase will build from the previous work of 2020-2021 VISTA and will allow the continuation of the workforce development vision in Greater Collinwood.

Member Duties : GCDC seeks an ambitious Workforce Development Coordinator to assist with workforce development programs for Northshore Collinwood, Collinwood Nottingham Villages, Euclid Green and Glenville East. The responsibilities will include securing partnerships with faith-based, youth and senior organizations to expand outreach efforts, maintaining partnerships with local businesses, support service providers and academic institutions, and assisting GCDC coordinate quarterly workforce development information sessions for all populations including youth, seniors, and minorities. Applicants should be professional and should possess excellent research and verbal/written communication skills.
