ShareCorps- Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank- Community Engagement
 
 
 
We partner with local social service agencies to provide free diapers and period supplies to low-income individuals. Our basic hygiene products become incentives for the amazing programs offered by our partner agencies and keep families engaged in services that could literally change their lives. In Greater Cincinnati, 1 in 3 families experience diaper need, and 1 in 4 women experience period poverty. Through the dedication of our amazing volunteers, we are working to eliminate both of these in our area by preparing diapers and period supplies for distribution in the community. Our VISTA member would be an integral part of increasing the awareness of our organization in Greater Cincinnati so that more support from potential funders, partner agencies, and volunteers can further our mission. We are the ONLY diaper and period supply bank in Greater Cincinnati and we are growing exponentially each year--it's an exciting time to be educating the public on a topic that most people don't know exists.

Member Duties : Our VISTA member will be taking ownership of our volunteers. From the time they sign up online to the time they leave our warehouse after a successful shift, you will create and maintain an exceptional volunteer experience with a customer-service oriented approach. This could include training and overseeing volunteers, organizing inventory for volunteers to use, and reaching out to organizations or groups for new volunteers. Part of our VISTA member's position also includes engaging with the community through our social media channels and outreach events that our organization is invited to. Being the energetic, outgoing face and voice of our organization (even when it's behind the scenes) will help increase our capacity and attract new volunteers, donors, and supporters to our cause.
