CCMA Graduate Support Project
 
 
 
The Graduate Support Program, will address multi-generational poverty by increasing high school graduation attainment and beyond for underrepresented young women residing in the greater Wilmington Delaware area. Especially those who have graduated from Serviam Girls Academy. The program will connect alumnae to opportunities, develop and implement a tracking system that manages data and facilitates communication, build a network of mentors, and survey the community gauging the program’s effectiveness.

Member Duties : Serviam Girls Academy’s Graduate Support Coordinator (GSC) will create a sustainable database to keep our alumnae supported through their academic careers. S/he will reignite a relationship with Serviam’s alumnae, particularly with those we have lost contact with, gather pertinent data, & update our records with contact information, education/job history, interests, & career paths. The GSC will foster connections between educational institutions where our students have interest in attending. S/he will identify and communicate any resources, financial or otherwise, available to our alumnae. The GSC’s daily efforts will be spent on gathering this data & facilitating connections between & among these institutions, resources & our alumnae. Through their research, the GSC will be asked to identify untapped resources that would benefit the school & its alumnae, including other AmeriCorps programs, and community groups/organizations whose mission or goals include working with our population.
