2019 RREAL Summer Fundraising VSA Project - IF
 
 
 
Founded in 2000, Renewable Energy Alliance (RREAL) is a nonprofit with the mission of making solar energy accessible to all in order to address energy poverty. RREAL has two main programs, Solar Assistance and Education and Community Outreach (ECO). Solar Assistance, RREAL’s flagship program, provides solar installations to help reduce the energy burden for individuals, families, and communities. The ECO program provides educational experiences for learners of all ages through internships, hands-on training, volunteer opportunities, and educational programs. The VSA will primarily be part of making more Solar Assistance projects happen by collaborating with RREAL's staff to organize our annual summer fundraiser.

Member Duties : The VISTA Summer Associate (VSA) tasks will include attending events in the area to get out the word about our fundraiser, connecting with potential and existing volunteers, grant writing, and assisting RREAL's staff and current VISTA members plan the fundraiser. The VISTA will get a deep dive into solar energy history, knowledge, and its uses to address energy poverty throughout the world. An affordable housing option is available to the VSA if needed.
