Main Street Ripley

[This position's start date is dependent upon our finding the right candidate.] The Mill Creek Water Trail is an ongoing project initiated by Main Street Ripley in 2011 as an economic engine that creates recreational opportunities. The development of Mill Creek Water Trail (MCWT) will bring economic and educational opportunity, while promoting environmental stewardship to Jackson County. The mission of the Friends of Mill Creek is preserving, conserving, and monitoring the health of MCWT while promoting the full economic potential of the water trail as a valuable community resource. This VISTA project will seek to build relationships, grow the organization, and provide a firm foundation and sustainable programming for Jackson County. This will be reflected in the areas of program development for school-aged children, family participation in water trail activities, and in the MCWT county-wide promotions with an emphasis on economic opportunities presented by water trail use.
