2019 Habitat Home Repairs Expansion VISTA - West Bend, WI

Habitat for Humanity's vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Nearly 20% of WI residents pay more than 50% of their family income for housing. The 37 WI affiliates are addressing the need for affordable housing by partnering with families to build, rehab or repair homes. The HFHWI VISTA program’s goal is to develop sustainable home repair programs to preserve housing and help more families. With passion, commitment, and hard work, our VISTAs help affiliates bring individuals & communities out of poverty. Located 30 minutes north of Milwaukee & 100 miles south of Green Bay, West Bend’s quaint downtown is home to a craft brewery, several restaurants, and the Wisconsin Museum of Art. Washington County contains a large portion of the Kettle Moraine State Forest and State Park, a popular destination for camping, fishing, and hiking. HFH Washington/Dodge has built over 26 homes since becoming an affiliate in 1995, and their Home Repair Program helps low-income, elderly, disabled, and veteran homeowners who struggle to maintain their homes.
