Habitat for Humanity's vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Nearly 20% of WI residents pay more than 50% of their family income for housing. The 37 WI affiliates are addressing the need for affordable housing by partnering with families to build, rehab or repair homes. The HFH WI VISTA program’s goal is to develop sustainable home repair programs to preserve housing and help more families. With passion, commitment, and hard work, our VISTAs help affiliates bring individuals & communities out of poverty. Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin is the state support organization for Habitat for Humanity Affiliates in Wisconsin. Established in 2012, HFH WI provides training and technical support to help affiliates reach their goals and provide homeownership opportunities and home repair programs to Wisconsin families. HFH WI is located in Milwaukee, WI. Located on the shore of Lake Michigan, Milwaukee is home to a thriving local music scene, world-class art museum, and arts and culture festivals all summer long.

Member Duties : The goal of this VISTA is to develop home repair projects in partnership with Habitat affiliates and and other organizations around the state. These projects home repair projects may focus on seniors, veterans, or disaster recovery. This VISTA will conduct asset mapping, create partnerships, research and apply for project funding, and develop a replicable project framework that can be shared with other affiliates. Some travel will be required. **Interviews are done on a rolling basis. Please submit an application as soon as possible to ensure consideration. Selection may be made before deadline date posted.**
