Network-Food Pantry Summer Associate II

Network of Community Ministries, Inc. responds to human need by giving assistance with the goal of helping individuals achieve long-term independence. Its mission is “caring, coaching and empowering neighbors in need as they seek an improved quality of life.” In 1985, several churches came together to form a Church Alliance to assist families through trying times, and thus the term “NETWORK” of Community Ministries took shape. NETWORK is based in Richardson, TX and has a service area encompassing fourteen zip codes in Dallas County. NETWORK is a non-denominational, community-based organization with three divisions: Emergency Services, providing food, shelter, clothing and utility services to children, adults, and seniors; the Adolescent and Children’s Clinic, and Seniors’ Net. Since 1985, NETWORK has impacted the lives of over 300,000 individuals. The Food Pantry Summer Associate VISTA II will provide volunteers with a firm foundation in proper procedures, training, and client protocols, identify areas of improvement and implement program change that will continue to offer smoother delivery of service after their service has ended. As a NETWORK VISTA, you will be part of a cohort coordinated by the VISTA North Texas project at Chisholm Trail RSVP, Inc. To learn more about NETWORK, visit www.thenetwork.org.
