UWNI Resource Development VISTA

We are currently seeking an articulate, outgoing individual to help us raise funds for our early childhood education initiatives and projects being developed from the regional ALICE Report. VISTA (Volunteer In Service To America) is a national program focused on addressing poverty and is currently celebrating its 50th year. The AmeriCorps VISTA program provides a living allowance that enables members to live like the community they serve. The successful candidate will work to develop and implement a sustainable fundraising plan to increase funds and in-kind support for early childhood education and ALICE population (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed), or low-income population in the five northern counties of Idaho. This will be done with a focus on grantwriting and sponsorship, but will also include tasks and assistance in event production and our annual workplace giving campaign. United Way of North Idaho’s office is in beautiful downtown Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, just two blocks from the lake and hiking. UWNI has been in existence since 1957 and provides resources and collaboration to improve lives in North Idaho. Our focus is on education, financial stability and health… the building blocks for a good quality of life. The VISTA position is full time, temporary (1 year), and benefits are available through AmeriCorps.
