Establishment of working relationships with internal and external partners will provide needed referral sources, and information repositories, as well as solutions to assist members of the Catholic University community in alleviating food insecurity in the long term. The decrease in the incidence of food insecurity will ultimately help increase the completion of academic degrees, which will help in the acquisition of gainful employment, and allow a person to be an active contributors to society. When a person is gainfully employed, they contribute economically by being tax paying citizens and reduce the need of social and support services.
