CAC AmeriCorps VISTA
Help promote economic justice with CAC AmeriCorps! We are currently recruiting for our 2020-2021 VISTA Corps and are filling positions with partner sites throughout beautiful Knoxville, Tennessee and the surrounding area. VISTA Members will build capacity at organizations that have programs targeted at eliminating poverty through fundraising, volunteer recruitment, community engagement, outreach efforts, and overall programmatic support. CAC AmeriCorps provides a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in the non-profit sector. As a CAC AmeriCorps VISTA member, you will assist with program development, develop critical thinking skills, and build meaningful connections in the Knoxville area. Member Duties : As a CAC AmeriCorps’s VISTA, you will help our partner sites lift people out of poverty by leveraging your skills in communication, volunteer recruitment, fundraising, event planning, and social media. Opportunities include grant writing, developing volunteer management systems, organizing social media campaigns and press releases, and planning fundraising events. Our partner sites fight for economic justice through access to healthy foods, community organizing, K-12 education, access to health care, access to transportation, and assistance fighting the opioid epidemic.
