Texas Homeless Network VISTA Leader 3rd Year (Austin, TX)
 
 
 
The Texas Homeless Network (THN) works to provide solutions to end homelessness in Texas communities through education, resources, and advocacy. Currently, THN has VISTA members placed throughout the state working on capacity building and program development to assist communities in ending homelessness. This VISTA project will enhance the THN VISTA Program’s impact by increasing support for VISTA members, developing new enhanced processes, and creating new tools for VISTA members and site supervisors. The outcome will allow community partners to expand their efforts to provide housing and other services to persons at-risk of or experiencing homelessness.

Member Duties : By joining the THN as a VISTA Leader you will make a direct impact in expanding the capacity to more effectively address issues surrounding homelessness and housing stability throughout the state of Texas. Your role is crucial to enhancing the THN VISTA Program’s impact through increasing support for fellow VISTA members, developing new enhanced processes, and creating new tools for VISTA members and site supervisors. You will help expand our community partners to provide housing and other services to persons at-risk of or experiencing homelessness. At THN you will: 1. Assist with recruitment processes and onboarding of new members 2. Strengthen projects at partner sites through on-going communication and support with members, and by collecting and monitoring member reporting. 3. Promote program sustainability and successes.
