Hope Harbor Summer Associate

Hope Harbor offers a "Shelter From The Storm" for families in Central Nebraska. The mission of Hope Harbor is "Help and Hope for a life of self-sufficiency." Hope Harbor accomplishes this mission by providing services to families experiencing homelessness. We help meet their needs for safe shelter, meals, and supportive case management with a goal of obtaining permanent housing and becoming self-sufficient. We offer an Emergency shelter and a Transitional shelter. The emergency shelter provides short-term safety for women and children. The transitional shelter balances assistance with accountability to encourage a sense of gratitude and self-confidence; teaching the people we serve to more fully realize their true potential. Residents are asked to give a 40 hour a week time commitment to begin working on their life-changing plan. Hope Harbor also offers General Assistance programs for those in need in our community. We receive and process donated goods and distribute them.
