Campus Compact has immediate openings for VISTA Leaders to work with our staff team based in Worcester, Massachusetts and Chicago Illinois. Our leaders support our multi-state cohort of AmeriCorps VISTA members in IL, MA, CT, RI, VA, WI, NE, KS, and MA. VISTA Leaders are hired on a rotating basis and positions are available now. Campus Compact is a coalition of colleges and universities in dedicated to advancing the public purposes of higher education and a national intermediary sponsor for AmeriCorps VISTA. A projected 70 VISTA members are expected and are leveraged by higher education institutions and their school and non-profit partners to build capacity at for education, economic success, healthy futures, veterans and environmental programs that directly impact economically disadvantaged individuals, As a corps, Campus Compact VISTA members benefit from shared training and professional development while collaborating throughout the service year both regionally and by their project focus. Drawing on your previous AmeriCorps, VISTA, or Peace Corps experience, you will be part of a team of up to five VISTA leaders and three staff members supporting the personal and professional development of Campus Compact's cohort of AmeriCorps VISTA members throughout their service year. Three positions will be located in Massachusetts in Worcester, MA and two in Illinois in the metropolitan Chicago area. A driver’s license and access to a vehicle are essential for this position, overnight travel is required. Partial rent support paid directly to the landlord is available for VISTA leaders as well as access to professional development opportunities through Campus Compact. **Please note: You must have served a full term as either AmeriCorps Member, VISTA member or Peace Corps member to be eligible to serve as a VISTA Leader.

Member Duties : The VISTA Leader will assist in the creation and provision of member training, technical assistance, resources and support to the national Campus Compact cohort. The VISTA leader will maintain regular communication with an assigned portfolio of members and host site program staff via phone, email, periodic in-person meetings and site visits. In addition to building the annual training and member support program, VISTA Leaders also work on data collection and evaluation, research and develop resource materials for VISTA host sites and members, build capacity for social media and lead annual recruitment. Campus Compact VISTA Leaders have access to professional development opportunities in the Campus Compact network to support their own growth during their year of service. Bi-weekly living allowance $634.20 partial rent subsidy of $350 available (paid to landlord).
