HPLD Marketing and Special Events VISTA

The Marketing and Special Events VISTA will be serving at the High Plains Library District Foundation located in Greeley, Colorado. Colorado is known for being one of the sunniest states, with over 300 days of sunshine every year. The City of Greeley is situated in the Northeastern Front Range of Colorado and is experiencing rapid growth and development. Every year, Greeley is home to the “Greeley Stampede” Rodeo, the “Blues Jam” music festival, the Greeley Arts Picnic, and “Friday Fest” a free outdoor concert hosted weekly throughout the summer. The mission of the High Plains Library District is to connect communities to inspiration, information and entertainment for life. HPLD wants to increase overall participation and unite residents by being so connected to our communities that the library: becomes everyone’s first and best choice for life-long learning, is seen as a necessary and important community asset, and is a community destination and gathering place. The Marketing and Special Events VISTA will support the Foundation’s annual fundraising efforts through event planning and marketing. Event support will include heading up the 2019 Links for Literacy golf tournament. This is the Foundation’s signature annual event to raise funds to support literacy programs across the District and the programs of our partners at the Kiwanis Club of the Rockies. The VISTA member will also support the Foundation’s other events including our returning Taste of Art juried art show/auction to support early childhood literacy and the new Writer in Residence gala to support the Foundation’s author residency program and the literary arts in Weld County. The VISTA member will also support the expansion of the Foundation’s marketing efforts which will include the restructure of our website, launch of our social media (FaceBook and Instagram), and additional promotion including a Foundation newsletter.
