Louisville Parks and Recreation Community Center Outreach

Escape, Explore, and Connect with Louisville Parks and Recreation! We manage over 120 parks, 2 Historic Homes, and 17 community centers, totaling more than 13,500 acres of public land! Our mission, as a Nationally Accredited Parks and Recreation agency, is to connect people to places and opportunities that support and grow a sustainable community. Our vision for Louisville is a clean, green, safe and inclusive city where people love to live, work and play. As the opioid epidemic grips the City of Louisville and concentrated poverty persists, our public community centers help provide much needed services to some of Louisville’s most venerable areas. All of Louisville Parks and Recreations’ community centers are located in low and middle income neighborhoods, and provide free and safe places for kids, seniors, and families to relax, learn, and play. Our centers provide free hot meals to seniors and youth; have free Wi-Fi and/or computer labs, and provide a wide range of educational and recreational activities.
