*Goodwill VISTA* Communications for Portland Public Schools

The Portland Public School District, http://www.portlandschools.org/ serves four high schools, four middle schools, and eleven elementary schools, including the Bayside Learning Community school. As part of its Comprehensive Strategic Plan, i.e., The Portland Promise, the intent is to improve the District’s communications processes, creating strategy, renewing branding, and refreshing approaches, such as the website, and social media. As part of this strategy, attention will be given to ensuring outreach and communication to all members of our community, including the 36% of our students who live in homes where the primary language other than English is spoken and the 55% of our students who qualify for free or reduced lunch.
