Maryland Out of School Time VISTA Leader
 
 
 
*IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR VISTA LEADER CANDIDACY, APPLICANT MUST HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED 1 TERM OF AMERICORPS OR PEACE CORPS SERVICE* The Maryland Out of School Time Network works to increase the quantity and quality of after school and summer opportunities for youth. VISTA projects will build the capacity of OST programs to support educational and basic needs of participants and their families with partner organizations at the local level in their communities to impact youth through out of school time opportunities. This 12-month, full-time position will begin in Fall of 2018. The VISTA Leader will work as part of a core team with another serving VISTA Leader and the VISTA Project Director to provides strategic support to forward the impact of Maryland Out of School Time VISTA projects based at up to 35 Youth Development organizations across Maryland.

Member Duties : • Develop and execute a recruitment and retention plan to attract high quality, diverse, and qualified VISTA members; • Coordinate training and ongoing support for VISTAs, including developing service projects and continuously assessing training needs; • Support and create synergy, collaboration and growth through the facilitation of a VISTA learning community; • Assist VISTAs in meeting outcome objectives by identifying and disseminating resources and creating structures for sustainability; • Maintain tracking and reporting systems for VISTA project goals for evaluation and continuous improvement; • Conduct outreach and promotion of MOST’s VISTA Projects and affiliation with AmeriCorps through blogs, press, partnerships, and social media; • Coordinate development of resources to support the VISTA project and MOST’s mission.
