Marketing VISTA at SNAP Financial Access (Year 2)

This is the second year of the VISTA project and will build on the successes of the first year. The goal of the project is to improve SNAP Financial Access’ ability to provide services to low income people in Spokane County. This project is urgently needed to meet the needs of clients who want to move out of poverty, and either may not be aware of services or need a more modern, technologically friendly way to access and utilize services. The VISTA Member will continue to build capacity for SNAP Financial Access and the Women's Business Center to utilize skills-based volunteers by coordinating and recruiting volunteers and developing a process to improve volunteer management. They will continue to enhance outreach via social media content creation, updating the marketing plan as needed, attending events, and developing a sustainability plan. The VISTA Member will also build capacity to provide online training opportunities using online platforms by researching platforms, working with staff instructors on curriculum, implementing a training curriculum, and developing a guide for future users. This position is in Eastern Washington, about 20 miles west of Idaho and 110 miles south of the Canadian border.
