The Scottsbluff Public Schools AmeriCorps program will be responsible for improving educational outcomes for SBPS students through the provision of mentoring, individual and small group educational assistance, family involvement, career support services and skill building. In addition, this AmeriCorps program will be engaged in providing SBPS students with career awareness, exposure and engagement opportunities. The program will be open to thirteen (13) crucial member positions that will be strategically placed in our high school, middle school, elementary and alternative education settings.

Member Duties : Members will provide after-school support, mentoring students one on one and group settings, members will mentor students throughout their day, mentoring will occur in class, one on one, in the lunch room and during off campus school day sponsored activities and events student outreach and assistance with credit recovery initiatives. Members will also assist in identification, development and dissimilation of program data., Members are required to attend all AmeriCorps events and projects.
