AFCPE Financial Counseling and Education Coordinator

The Association for Financial Counseling & Planning Education® (AFCPE®) is the nationally recognized leader in financial counseling, coaching, and education. At AFCPE, we believe that no matter your income level or background you deserve dignity and access to the highest quality of financial support. This means creating access to professionals with the knowledge and experience that can guide individuals through a financial crisis, help develop useful money management skills and provide a foundation to move clients towards long-term economic well-being. Many of AFCPE certified professionals work in low to moderate income communities nationwide, and look to AFCPE to keep them abreast of emerging knowledge, training, materials, and resources to increase the capacity of the people whom they serve effectively. This project supports the strategic planning, development, and dissemination of community resource kits designed to meet the immediate needs of professionals working in low-income communities, helping them to deliver a variety of critical financial workshops. Workshops and resources would connect community members to highly skilled, unbiased financial professionals, education, tools, and resources to effectively deliver programs that help low-income individuals and families improve the conditions of their own lives.
