NC Afterschool Corps - BUMP: The Triangle
 
 
 
.The NC Afterschool Corps VISTA project builds the capacity of afterschool programs serving low income children, with a goal of expanding or enhancing the quality of afterschool services. The Corps member will strengthen afterschool program operations, increase fee-based and sponsorship revenue, and support active community partnerships. The Corps member will refine practices developed by the 2017-2018 Corps member and integrate them with new processes.

Member Duties : The NC Afterschool Corps member placed with BUMP: The Triangle will support volunteer recruitment, fundraising and grant-writing, curriculum development, and special events. This is an AmeriCorps VISTA position and does not involve direct service. Instead, this member will perform organizational and program development tasks, including recruiting and training volunteers from the community and campus, researching and preparing grant applications and donor appeals, coordinating events, and preparing lessons/activities for youth development. The member will also serve as a liaison with the North Carolina Central University in an effort to develop a volunteer/civic engagement pipeline to the organization. THE START DATE FOR THIS POSITION IS TBD. WE EXPECT THE MEMBER WILL BEGIN SERVICE IN THE FALL. START DATE WILL DEPEND ON TRAINING SCHEDULE AND CANDIDATE AVAILABILITY. SERVICE TERM IS 1 FULL YEAR FROM START DATE.
