Bright Futures, located in Telluride, CO, is dedicated to providing leadership, innovation, influence, and resources to ensure that Ouray, San Miguel, Delta and Montrose Counties have quality early childhood care, education, health, mental health and family services. Bright Futures is an organization dedicated to innovative and collaborative solutions to address early childhood and family needs across the San Juan Region. Our staff is dynamic, energetic, positive and forward thinking. We rely on strong partnerships across Colorado to improve access and available to a variety of services including family home visitation, childcare, early learning quality improvement and teacher professional development. We have many public and private partners that make our work possible. Bright Futures is involved in newly adopted, statewide early childhood initiatives that offer the opportunity to interface with state of the art technology and systems to track early learning outcomes. Our recent Family Resource Center designation offers opportunities to be involved in identifying and coordinating family support programs. Telluride is a small mountain town located in the San Juan Mountain Range of Southwest Colorado with a rich history and a laid-back atmosphere. Telluride is known for incredible winter and summer outdoor recreation opportunities, year round festivals, and a lively arts and culture scene. **A CAR IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR THIS POSITION**

Member Duties : The Program Development Associate VISTA will be responsible for developing outreach and marketing strategies, supporting grant management and reporting, and supporting early childhood programming. This is the second year of the Program Development VISTA position. Member Duties include: 1.) Support and promote the mission of Bright Futures. 2.) Create and maintain marketing materials: including website, social media outlets, and a quarterly newsletter. 3.) Provide outreach and support related to improving quality of early childhood education as it relates to Colorado Shines. 4.) Assist in coordinating and hosting trainings and events. 5.) Gather early childhood provider updates bi-annually. 6.) Coordinate School Readiness Calendar. 7.) Participate in applicable local, regional and statewide meetings and events.
