2018 Community Engagement Specialist VISTA

This is an exciting opportunity to join the External Affairs team at Volunteers of America of Indiana, focusing on community engagement and program support. As our Community Engagement Specialist VISTA, you will support the Winchester House Project Director in establishing community support to enhance the capacity and sustainability of Volunteers of America of Indiana’s Fresh Start Recovery Center in Winchester, Indiana. The Fresh Start Recovery Center is a residential addiction treatment center designed specifically for mothers and pregnant women. It is one of the only programs in the country where clients can bring children to live with them on-site during treatment. Your role will be to create the community support structure for this new program area, so the families we serve can have a fresh start without worrying about basic needs. The External Affairs team cares about the development and long-term success not just of the organization, but of each of its team members. Come join us in offering hope, restoring dignity, and transforming lives for struggling Hoosiers.
