Arkansas Farm to School
Arkansas Farm to School is a statewide Collaborative and Network focused on supporting the growth and development of farm to school activities in Arkansas. Arkansas Farm to School is hosted by the the Access to Healthy Foods Research Group (ATHFRG) at Arkansas Children's Research Institute. The mission of the ATHFRG is to build evidence, capacity, and support for an equitable food system that fosters the health and wellness of children, families, and communities in Arkansas. The work of the ATHFRG focuses on the development, delivery, and evaluation of individual and environmental-level interventions such as farm to school, school and community gardens, and support for increased local and healthy food production, distribution, and consumption.

Member Duties : Arkansas Farm to School Program Coordinator (ARF2S Program Coordinator) The Arkansas Farm to School Program Coordinator (ARF2S Program Coordinator) will spend their year of service coordinating and growing Arkansas Farm to School by facilitating the Arkansas Farm to School Network, planning and implementing a statewide farm to school conference, developing and disseminating resources and tools, delivering training and technical assistance, crafting and executing fundraising and evaluation plans and managing communications and outreach. Each of these key objectives helps Arkansas Farm to School build capacity and increase its ability to serve its stakeholders in improving the health and wellness of kids, families and communities through a more equitable food system.
