Community Resource Coordinator Boys Hope Girls Hope Phoenix
Boys Hope Girls Hope helps academically capable and motivated children-in-need to meet their full potential and become men and women for others by providing value-centered, family-like homes, opportunities and education through college. We believe in children; in their ability to overcome their circumstances, to become more than they ever dreamed of becoming, and to go on to give hope to countless others. By providing arms-around care, safe homes and environments, a first-class education, opportunities to learn about themselves and the world, and academic, financial, and spiritual support through college, we empower children to realize their full potential. Community Resource Coordinators (CRC) help provide that arms-around care through the tutors, mentors and volunteers they recruit. They also connect us meaningful and sustained ways with the community to give our scholars access to the variety of resources required for them reach their potential. Work with a purpose: As a CRC, you will develop and maintain community partnerships through outreach to a broad spectrum of agencies, businesses, services organizations, schools and higher education and enlist community volunteers to provide mentorship and or to engage in other involvement that will help our scholars reach their dream of graduating from college. Professional experience that matters: As a CRC with Boys Hope Girls Hope, you will be a key team member, connecting young people with the resources necessary to reach their full potential. Member Duties : Community Resource Coordinators help to connect our program in meaningful and sustained ways with the community in order to give our scholars access to a variety of resources that help them reach their full potential. Members will identify potential contacts, conduct outreach activities in the community, and manage community volunteers. They will research opportunities, initiate contact with potential volunteers and resources, help to implement communication and recruiting plans, make presentations, and conduct information sessions. They will recruit, screen, train, manage and sustain volunteers, with a particular focus on mentors and tutors. Mentors and tutors work one on one with the youth we serve. They are an important part of helping each scholar succeed.
