CMFCAA Grant Development VISTA

The goal of the Grant Development VISTA is to build financial capacity and match funding supporting family programs to deter disruptions, mitigate ACE and further expand counties served through our programming. This role will work with a team to secure $300,000 as part of a current Development plan. The VISTA will also work with the marketing team to create a sustainable campaign for our 12x12 Giving Program. Grant writing, fundraising events, networking and building ongoing supports are also an important piece of the Grant Development VISTA role. You will be the difference in making that possible for children from hard places. CMFCAA is centrally located and headquarters is situated at the heart of beautiful downtown Jefferson City, Missouri. The state capitol of Missouri is steps from our headquarters and the amazing Lake of the Ozarks is thirty minutes away. Called the playground of the mid-west; the lake area has all you need to relax after assisting in the efforts of bringing safety and security to Missouri's at-risk children. Sustainable programming is the goal and strong volunteers in every corner of the 13-county region Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association serves. The urban areas of Missouri are only a drive away in either direction or you can take a train. Peaceful and friendly the mid-west offers enjoyable opportunities and CMFCAA provides many networking, training and valuable skills to take to the next level of your career. Development VISTA VAD will explain the exact project description, qualifications, timeline for year of project and necessary skills. Member Duties : The Development Specialist VISTA member will build organizational capacity of Central Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Association (CMFCAA) through researching and cultivating funding for at risk children in the CMFCAA service area. As a result of the VISTA member’s service, CMFCAA will have the funding to develop sustainable foster, adoptive, kinship parent, donor, and volunteer programs. These results will allow CMFCAA to impact poverty by reducing the Adverse Childhood Effects (ACE) score that clients experience by preventing reoccurring trauma associated with patterns of abuse for foster and adoptive children.
