Friends In Deed - Pathways to Employment AmeriCorps VISTA
 
 
 
As our VISTA with Friends in Deed, you’ll expand resources available to low-income residents throughout Washtenaw County by building partnerships with organizations that can provide additional support to your clients. You’ll also improve volunteer recruitment and management processes to increase the capacity of the organization, ultimately allowing them to help lift more people out of poverty. Lastly, you’ll help secure access to transportation for clients, one of their biggest barriers to employment and education, by securing funds and donations for the Transportation Assistance Program. In doing so, clients will have access to the resources and opportunities necessary for them to not survive poverty, but climb out of it.

Member Duties : • Create processes to evaluate the impact of both the Circles and Transportation programs. • Develop resources and relationships to streamline referrals and enhance services. • Improve and expand volunteer recruitment and management efforts. • Help expand the Transportation Assistance Program.
