Re-entry Program NLRC Site Coordinator VISTA
 
 
 
Molo Village Community Development Corporation (MVCDC) and New Legacy Reentry Corporation (NLRC) have a track record of providing re-entry programs in the Louisville community. Citizens returning to society after incarceration is a reality in Kentucky. Statistics indicate that more than two-thirds of prisoners are rearrested within three years of their release and half are reincarcerated. In order to more effectively assist the formerly incarcerated break the cycle of poverty and remain free and productive citizens, Molo Village and New Legacy are seeking AmeriCorps VISTA applicants to help support this important work.

Member Duties : The VISTA will help to expand the capacity of New Legacy Re-entry Corporation to offer re-entry programs focusing on poverty prevention by deploying financial literacy education and other related supportive programming. The position will focus on strengthening program curriculum, organizing participant recruitment efforts and volunteer training. Tasks may include organizing program curriculum, organizing participant recruitment efforts and providing volunteer training sessions.
