THN VISTA Communications and Development Associate (Austin)
 
 
 
The Texas Homeless Network (THN) works to provide solutions to end homelessness in Texas communities through education, resources, and advocacy. Currently, THN has VISTA members placed throughout the state working on capacity building and program development to assist communities in ending homelessness. This VISTA project will build capacity to support and advance the mission and strategic goals of Texas Homeless Network. To achieve this goal, the VISTA will assist the Director of Development & Communications with identifying and securing resources and increasing visibility by developing grants, increase the membership base, and develop a marketing and community relations plan to align with goals outlined by strategic planning, in order to create programs geared towards ending homelessness across Texas.

Member Duties : 1. Create a membership growth plan to engage the community in THN’s mission, including: possible business partnerships, member engagement, and improving member benefits. Develop educational materials on strategies to end homelessness like coordinated entry and SOAR (SSI/SSDI, Outreach, Access, and Recovery) through use of videos and other visual tools. 2. Participate in grant writing and assist team with creating templates to standardize grant language 3. 2.
