FAMILY SERVICE CORPS AMERICORPS BUTLER MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FAMILY SERVICES Family Service Corps (FSC) will have 18 half-time 5 minimum-time AmeriCorps members that include 10 veterans and those with disabilities. These members, who are in need of economic opportunity, will be placed with non-profit and faith-based agencies in rural communities to help citizens in need of food security, housing, mentoring, veteran services and summer children's programming. These agencies include the Center for Community Resources, Catholic Charities, Grapevine, Recovery Project, and Lawrence County Community Action Partners. The program also provides support to Veterans and those in recovery from addiction and mental illness. At the end of the term of service, Family Service Corps will have enrolled previously unemployed members who will have served 3,500 citizens in need of food, clothing, and housing. They will have leveraged 250 volunteers for service projects and for their specific sites.

Member Duties : AmeriCorps Community Support Aide Members will provide peer support, link citizens to needed community resources that include housing, food security, clothing, support groups and treatment options.
