2018 Fair Housing Legal Clinic VISTA

Established in 1993, the Fair Housing Legal Clinic (FHLC) is dedicated to providing legal assistance to victims of housing discrimination and private or public organizations that seek to eliminate discriminatory housing practices. The FHLC has served thousands of clients in the Chicago Metropolitan Area who have been denied housing because of discrimination under Federal, State, and Local Fair Housing laws and ordinances. It also assists with policy initiatives designed to foster more integrated communities in the Chicago area. FHLC is looking to broaden awareness of its legal services and resources available to the greater Chicagoland community. FHLC seeks a college graduate who is interested in civic engagement, fostering a more integrated Chicago community, and potentially interested in pursuing a law degree or working within the legal industry.
