CDFY-Data Coordinator VISTA
 
 
 
The CDFY Data Coordinator VISTA member will build the capacity of Council for Drug Free Youth by developing and implementing data collection and collaboration for an opioid coalition resource hub, providing support and technical assistance for prevention partners in Cole County, Missouri. This VISTA position will impact poverty by reducing drug and opioid dependency. As a result of the VISTA member’s service new community partnerships with religious, civic, courts, and business organizations will be established and cultivated; a comprehensive toolkit on how to sustain data collection and collaboration of a local opioid coalition resource hub will be developed; 10% more prescription drugs will be collected at drug take back events,10% more drug disposal bags will be distributed, and the rate of past 30 day drug use will be reduced by 5% among youth as indicated in the Missouri Student Survey (MSS). CDFY Data Coordinator VISTA will be responsible for ensuring, timely accurate data collection, coordination of strategy teams, and compiling the final report to be distributed to all local partners. This person should possess demonstrable organizational abilities, task-management, data entry, research, strategic planning, and communication skills, both written and verbal. They will be provided numerous opportunities to work independently on projects, conduct data analysis, evaluation of data, website integration, database assimilation, and collaborate on the final report to be distributed to all local partners. Periodic report updates and quarterly analysis readily available on the CDFY website (www.jccdfy.org). The objective of this project is to create a sustainable model and share the information garnered, as well as best practices with other communities in the central part of Missouri and the nation.
