Health Access Coordinator VISTA

The VISTA will help ensure that families living in subsidized households receive the healthcare access they need to live a healthy future, helping break the cycle of poverty long-term. The Serve El Paso VISTA project will build the capacity of the El Paso County Housing Authority (EPCHA) by developing a coordinated partnership system with local agencies and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) to increase access to affordable health care options for low-income housing participants in the rural communities of the county. The El Paso County Housing Authority (EPCHA) is working to provide affordable healthcare access to its residents, leveraging the recently launched Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Center. The Family Self-Sufficiency program focuses on creating a social and physical environment that promotes good health for all and the VISTA will build capacity and collaborate with community partners to ensure healthcare services and activities are provided at the FSS Center.
