M:STL- Victory Mission Programs Coordinator VISTA

The umbrella restoration initiative includes mental health services, substance abuse counseling, transitional housing, skills training, and supportive employment through social enterprise. The program is designed to serve marginalized populations battling addiction to opioids, alcohol, and other hard substances through evidence informed services and a paid wage. The Program Coordinator VISTA will build a bridge between those in the restoration program and the social enterprises employing program participants. By the end of the placement, Victory Mission will be registered with the appropriate authorities and have the certifications needed to deliver services proven to create impact. Victory Mission will also see the expansion of Victory Coffee Co., Street Chef Catering, and Victory Trading Company. This expansion will provide greater capacity to employ individuals battling addiction so they can work through a life change plan that reintegrates them back into the workforce. The program includes a 152 bed shelter, 2 master leased homes, a provisionally licensed mental health counselor, a certified addiction counselor, and a social enterprise manager that supports individuals as they bag coffee, create catered meals, and sell thrift goods. The Program Coordinator VISTA will write manuals, conduct worksite studies, research legal requirements around mental health and addiction counseling, and create a path for moving Victory towards a higher level of service.
